Biles lived in Spring Texas in the Houston metropolitan area after she and her younger sister Adria had been adopted by parents Ronald and Nellie Biles. Simone became interested in gymnastics when she was just six during a day-care field trip at Bannon's Gymnastix and stayed there for 11 years under the guidance of her trainer Aimee Boorman. Biles was a winner in the floor and vault exercises at the women's Junior Olympic National Championships before moving up to the highest level of competition in 2011. Two years after that Biles had a dominating performance in the sport. Biles was notable because of her unstoppable performance enthusiastic attitude as well as the amount of difficulty that she included in each event--vault bar, uneven bars, balance beam and ground exercise.
