The actress starred as Tyana Jones in the TV One original series Love That Girl! as well as had a recurring role on Roxanne on the CBS soap opera The Young and the Restless from 2007 to the year 2013. Ali who was just six years old, started her acting career in 1985 when she was a regular on the PBS children's education program Sesame Street. Her appearances included a performance with jazz legend Herbie Hancock. Hancock demonstrated the Fairlight CMI synthesizer by using Ali's voice. Star Search also featured her in two episodes.
